Description
Wonderful views of the lake and bluff abound from within this unique lakefront cottage. Enjoy spectacular vistas from every room and from private balconies off the bedrooms.
The kitchen has been completely renovated for the 2010 season. The open design includes all new appliances, including a full size oven, fridge, stove top, dishwasher, microwave, sink and lots of cupboards.
The main entry is right at parking level, so you'll have no trouble unloading luggage or groceries. Once inside, you'll find yourself right at home in the vaulted great room, with comfortable furnishing and including seating for eight around the dining table. Or, step out onto the front balcony for a refreshment, or the side balcony for an outdoor meal - each with fabulous panoramic views stretching from the tip of the bluff to the south to the Esperanza Mansion to the North.
Down the spiral staircase you'll find two generously sized bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twins. Each bedroom has a private balcony. Ample closet space is available in each bedroom. A full bath is on this level.
Down one more flight gets you to lake level featuring the third bedroom with a queen sized premium futon and a half bath. Behind the lower level is a covered deck with access to the utility room that houses the washer and drier. On the waterfront side, you'll find a deck right on the lake, a grassy lawn for play, and the dock. A short swim or row away is the oversized swim platform for sunbathing or diving. The covered picnic area in back provides shelter for outside dining, rain or shine.
The location of this cottage is on a quiet stretch of the west branch of the lake, and is quite convenient to wineries, groceries, and restaurants. The Crooked Lake Mercantile is only 5 minutes away, in Branchport, for groceries and other conveniences. Hammondsport and Penn Yan are each within a 15 to 20 minute drive. Bully Hill, Dr. Frank, Herron Hill, and Hunt Country wineries are all 5 to 20 minutes by car. The Lakeside and the Waterfront restaurants are within 10 minutes.
