Keuka (Native American for: Canoe Landing)
Keuka Lake is called the "Lady of the Lakes" because of its amazing beauty. The Indian name Keuka means "canoe landing," but this Finger Lakes area used to be called Crooked Lake by the early settlers. It is very unique among the Finger Lakes because it features a scenic bluff over seven hundred feet above the lake, and is the only Finger Lake that outlets into another Lake. Keuka Lake is roughly 20 miles long and varies in width all the way up to 2 miles.

DescriptionLuxury on the lake is what you will get at Stargazer!
Park in the circular drive and enter the upper level through the hardwood door surrounded by stained glass windows with a fall leaf motif.
A half bath is directly off the entrance. To the left through open archways is the chefs kitchen and it is a delight! Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wine refrigerator, central island, dishwasher, and a soup stock faucet over the stove are just some of the modern amenities of this kitchen. The kitchen opens to the eat in dining area with sliding glass door to the deck and views of the lake.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling and is glass-fronted for spectacular views of the water. The natural-tone golden wall coloring and furnishing give a sense of peace and community within the lake surroundings. Leather furniture, and the natural hemp area rug make a great setting to cuddle up with an evening fire in the fireplace and a movie on the large flat-screen tv.
Off the living room is the master suite with a king size bed and wall entertainment unit make for comfortable accommodations. The master bath has a double sink, Jacuzzi tub, and oversized shower. The dark wood tones stand out against the richly painted walls. Sliding glass doors in the master bedroom lead to the upper level deck lakeside.
The second bedroom on the upper level has a queen sized bed, large dresser, and views of the front garden with a water pond.
Spiral stairs lead down to the lower level that is decorated in lake-tones. Blue walls, bed covers and pristine white furniture make for a refreshing sense of comfort. This very large living space/bedroom has two double beds and a trundle bed making this room perfect for couples or kids alike. Multiple dressers, large closets, a large flat screen tv, sliding glass doors to the lower deck [lake views] and a full bath compliment this space. The full bath has a double sink in an antique countertop, open tiled double-head shower stall and commode in white make this bathroom unique.
Drawing from the gardens and natural woodland setting, this home was named Stargazer after the lilies that bloom in July. But don't miss the peonies that bloom in May, the coneflowers that bloom in June, or the fall array of colors in the garden also. To enjoy all seasons in the garden, spend some time in the outdoor hot tub. Located just off the stone path along the south side of the house, the hot tub is very private and the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a glass of renowned Finger Lakes Riesling wine!
Three areas of decking make the most of outdoor entertainment. Grill and eat meals on the upper deck, play cards or board games on the lower deck, and sunbathe or store all of your water sports equipment on the lower deck off the lower level bedroom. To add to your outdoor living experience, the lakeside lawn is fronted by a white picket fence that hinders small children from wandering off to the lake.
The large dock and beach front is an ideal fun spot! Rent a boat or jet skis, do cannon-balls off the dock, sit in the Adirondack chairs and gaze at the spectacular fall foliage, wade in the shallows, or enjoy making Smores around the campfire.
Stargazer is located just minutes from Keuka Lake wineries, the quaint town of Hammondsport and several boat-up restaurants.
Come see for yourself what a Keuka Lake vacation has in store for you at Stargazer!
Located in the "Coolest Small Town in America," Hammondsport, NY!
