Seneca (Native American for: Place of the Stone)

Located within multiple counties, Seneca Lake lies in the center of the Finger Lakes corridor.  At the northern tip of Seneca Lake is the City of Geneva, and at the southern tip is the Village of Watkins Glen. Seneca Lake was named for the Seneca Indian Nation. Seneca Lake boasts the steepest shoreline of all the lakes, particularly at the southern end. It is extremely unique, and an amazing place to vacation.

Enjoy the historic charm of Yale Manor Estate for your upcoming getaway! Located in the heart of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, this one of a kind estate boasts over 5000 sq feet of living space for guests to enjoy and its very own lakefront at the end of the street.

Yale Manor Estate has a long, paved driveway leading up to the gorgeous, turn of the century colonial house. With parking in the rear for multiple cars, and a circular driveway for ease of entry/exit, this property is ideally set up to entertain friends and family.

The main entry in the front of the house leads into a beautiful foyer, with gleaming hardwood floors and a sweeping staircase that leads to the second and third levels of the house. To the left of the entry is a small half bath, and an oversized formal dining room, with a gas fireplace and seating for 15 guests comfortably. To the right is a spacious living room, with TV/DVD player for enjoying evening movies, a large sofa and arm chair, and an additional gas fireplace to ward off the chill on a cool evening.

Down the hall is the library, furnished with a variety of books for guests’ enjoyment, sitting chairs, and another TV – a great room to enjoy some local wine while you relax in the peace and quiet. A door at the end of the hall leads outside to the rear yard and parking area.

In the center of the house, off the dining room and main foyer is a large country kitchen, with upscale appliances, granite countertops, and plenty of cupboard and counter space for preparing large meals. In the rear is the entry off the parking area, and another staircase that leads to the second floor sleeping accommodations.

At the second level of the main foyer stairs is another large foyer and four spacious bedrooms with decorative fireplaces. Two of the bedrooms facing the road have their own private en-suite bathrooms with showers. Window air conditioning units keeps these rooms cool during the warmer months. A full bathroom with a combination shower/tub is located in the foyer.

Down the rear hallway are two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two singles, ideal for a family with small children. A full bathroom with shower is just off the hall.

The third floor guest suite in the front of the house is accessed via the front stairs, and contains a spacious private bathroom with air tub and his/her sinks, a master bedroom with king bed, decorative fireplace, window air conditioning, and a TV/DVD player. On the other side of the bathroom is a large room that seconds as a laundry room, with a washer and dryer and plenty of space to hang up clothes.

The sweeping lawns reach across 10 acres and are bordered by woods and crops. Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor games like volleyball, croquet, or bocce ball with family and friends in this abundant space! There is some space in the back portion of the garage to store bikes or motorcycles as well. A small firepit and chairs is set up for evening campfires by the house, or guests can enjoy a 5 minute walk down or quick drive to the end of the street to 70 feet of privately owned lakefront, with natural entry for swimming, large permanent dock, a firepit, and a boathouse with chairs, mini fridge, and microwave.

Located a short drive from Geneva, and surrounded by many fine wineries/breweries and distilleries, Yale Manor Estate is convenient to many great, area attractions!
