Just minutes from downtown Canandaigua, this large family home is ideal whether you're stay-cationing and enjoying a beer along Lakeshore Drive, or you're traveling in from out of town to attend a wedding at the New York Kitchen. Located on a private drive, a perfectly landscaped hillside adorns the walkway. Once down the concrete steps, this large home is just waiting to welcome you.

Inside, beautiful views of Canandaigua Lake can be seen from inside the foyer across the kitchen. The open space flows freely from kitchen - to dining and living areas. A galley kitchen overlooks the views of the lake. Watch the sun rise up from the east each morning. The height of the view allows you to see a breathtaking view of the reflection of the sky on the water. Casual dining is yours to enjoy at the bar stools along the kitchen counter. A formal dining table sits just outside the cooking space.

Through the wide room, two grey sectionals hug a gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Whether you're playing games with friends and family, watching a movie or reading a book - this cozy space allows you all the comforts of home. A three-season room overlooking the lake will prove to be the best place to sip your coffee each morning as you watch the sun rise.

Completing this level, you'll find the entry level bed and bath. Upstairs, an additional three private bedrooms, and one semi-private bedroom are yours to choose from. Exquisite lake views can be enjoyed from four of the five bedrooms.

Outside, a stairway takes you to the lakefront across the road. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the grassy area by the lake. Bring games like kanjam or cornhole, take a kayak for a paddle, sunbathe or fish right off the dock. At night, pick up a bundle of firewood from a roadside stand and roast some marshmallows as the sun sets.

All of our vacation rentals are professionally cleaned by our trained housekeeping staff in between each reservation. We continue to maintain the highest housekeeping standards. We use a CDC-approved commercial grade disinfectant on all hard and soft surfaces throughout each home with increased focused on high touch point areas such as light switches, doorknobs, remotes, etc. These efforts provide you the peace of mind to experience a sanitized, clean, and disinfected home to enjoy. All of our rentals include professionally cleaned linens from our laundry facility that are washed, bleached, folded and wrapped by our staff wearing PPE. We do not outsource any linens, towels, or cleaning supplies. All of our guests also have the security of a local 24/7 manager on duty to respond to their needs throughout their stay.

Impaired Fun

The virtues of Forever Fun are that the interior is spacious; the views from inside the home and at the lakefront are beautiful; the lakefront area is very enjoyable (now that a ladder has been added to the dock)- we loved the hot air balloons dipping over the lake some evenings and the campfire area for family marshmallow roasts; the newly landscaped area between the house and Onnalinda Drive is attractive; the parking lot is generous; the central air conditioning system, supplemented by the room air conditioners (after some necessary repairs to the window holes) functioned well during the July heat; and the living room is spacious and allows for a gathering of all 9 family members for games or watching a movie at night. The major negatives (even after having significant cleaning and work done by FLPP in response to our initial complaints about numerous defects of the property) are the condition of the property, in general, both inside and out. Inside: • the tile floors are cracked and chipped, so it’s hard to discern whether they are dirty or just marred by the chips and cracks • many of the dressers and wall areas have paint dribbles down them, and molding is missing • the kitchen cabinets are sticky when you touch them to open or close the doors (and there are no handles on the cabinets) • Multiple dresser and cabinet doors don’t open and close smoothly (they stick, e.g., in the master bedroom one closet door requires enormous force to open it) • Many of the stairs are cracked and wobble when weight is put on them; they pinch bare feet so it's unsafe to walk without shoes • Other areas of deferred maintenance too numerous to mention Outside: • The landscape beside the stairs to the lake is weedy, cluttered with broken concrete pieces and broken light fixtures; the one area of the stairs that has handrails has been repaired with a piece of wood that was not sanded and would splinter to the touch, so is unusable; • Part of the walkway to the lake is dirt, and not grassed, so muddy when it rains; other areas were overgrown with weeds and vines • The sheds by the lake are filthy and were not cleaned, so not suitable for storing anything not in wrappers or containers • The upper lakeside yard area also has pieces of exposed, broken up concrete visible, along with a green plastic fence (typically used for slowing runoff when construction is occurring for environmental reasons) • One of the 2 kayaks that were advertised as part of the owner’s package is broken From a furnishings and equipment standpoint, much of our enjoyment came from the fact that we have supplied our own equipment, because: 1. we purchased glass wine glasses and glass glassware after the owner, in response to our initial request, supplied plasticware for both wine and drinking-the plastic wine glasses don’t clean in the dishwasher, so must be hand washed); 2. we brought a table which makes the sunroom usable as a breakfast and general “hangout” area, versus only having the owner supplied chairs and a fan there. Ultimately, despite the poor condition of the property, we had an enjoyable time because our family was able be together during the pandemic.
