Enjoy a great getaway on the quiet shores of Pelican Cabin. This two level log cabin is located just minutes from downtown Penn Yan, and near the Keuka Wine Trail. Parking puts you at the rear of the home which features a covered porch, and a yard for small children to play in. You enter the home to the main floor, which is a large, open floor plan. Immediately to your right, is the living area, where you will find the sleeper sofa and chair sleeper, as well as a large, flat-screen TV, and other comfortable seating, with a picture window for views of Keuka Lake. Behind the living area is the dining table, which seats 6 in front of the double doors that give you an outstanding view of the lake while you dine. The double doors open to a covered porch that spans the entire width of the home, with stairs to the lower level porch as well. Directly to the left of the dining area you will find the kitchen with wrap around counter and basic home amenities. Two shelving areas offer space for pantry storage. A reading nook in the far corner offers a quiet space to enjoy your newspaper and a cup of morning coffee. Between the kitchen and dining area is the spiral staircase that leads to the lower level. Once on the lower level, you will find two bedrooms, one full bath, laundry facilities, and two storm doors that open to the lower level deck. The first bedroom towards the rear of the home has one queen bed and a dresser. The lake-facing bedroom houses a double bed, flat screen TV, and amazing views through the window, of the lake. The full bathroom has a claw-foot tub/shower, vanity, and small closet. Through the double storm doors on the lower level, you will step outside to the lower patio. A few steps down will take you to the seasonal dock, fire pit, and over 50 feet of natural entry beachfront. This shallow entry is perfect for small children to enjoy the beach under the watchful eye of parents relaxing on the lower patio, or dock. Moore your boat on the dock, enjoy some fishing, or just catch a few rays on the beachfront of this lakeside retreat. As a note, lake depth at the end of the dock is between 2 - 3 feet, and may not be suitable for all boat types. A paddleboat is also provided for the guests use, and the quiet waters of the Northern tip of Keuka Lake make it perfect to explore. Looking for a local treat? Seneca Farms [seasonal] is a local favorite for ice cream, and is located within walking distance from Pelican Cabin. Indian Pines Public Park is just a short drive to the end of Old Pines Trail, where guests can enjoy lifeguarded swimming [seasonal, after school lets out], a large playground, and fishing along the mouth of the outlet.
