Sunset Bay

Great location...loved the lake view right off the property. The home was very spacious inside. The main bedroom could use a new mattress or mattress topper as it is very hard. Also I packed a 5 qt sock pot for pasta which was good because there was only a 3qt and 2qt pot there. It could also use another 12 inch fry pan. The lock code was very long and did not work upon arrival but we quickly received a new one from reservations with no problem after that. Outside porch had several dead bees on it and roof interior could use a refresh. Overall, we enjoyed the property and our stay. I would stay there again.

We had a nice time the dock needs repair and there were lots of bees...also the place need a dish rack and a new bed in the master bedroom very hard and bedframe makes a TON of noise....in both rooms...also.the driveway is VERY steep and the owner should cut back the hedges so that it is safer to exit the driveway Overall we love this place great location and sunsets for sure

We were happily surprised that the home was incredibly spacious. The kitchen had all the necessities, as we did a lot of cooking. The back porch with views of lake and fire pit with Adirondack chairs got a lot of use from our group. There is a frequent visitor, a beautiful and very friendly cat, who lets himself into the home if you aren’t looking, and let all the kids feed, pet, hug and carry it around. Our only complaint was that the dock was in really bad and dangerous shape. We loved kayaking in the bay in front of the house but the dock was unusable.

Steps from the water, beautiful sunsets and comfortable accommodations describe Sunset bay. Being right on the lake, you never need to leave but if you do there is so much close by - wineries, breweries, state parks, shopping, little towns to explore. One week just wasn’t long enough

Sunset Bay was a nice lake side cottage. Beautiful sunsets out back and a clean cozy feeling inside. Plenty of kitchen tools, towels and sheets. The neighborhood was safe and easy to get to. We hope to come back again and maybe stay a little longer.

This cottage is larger than it appears online! A spacious living room and kitchen make it family friendly, and the spot between beaches is ideal. We had an amazing stay!

This lake house was beautiful and so clean on the inside. It was 10 minutes away from many wineries and breweries. We absolutely LOVED staying there and would go back any time, and hope to go back in the spring!

My husband and I had a wonderful time! Location was great, north end of the lake and very quiet. The house was immaculate and had everything you'd need. Even had children/baby items if needed which I thought was great!! The back porch was great to sit and drink your morning coffee. Just be prepared for the mosquitoes at night. We expected them but it was too buggy to sit outside at night. We would definitely stay here again!! Note: there's a coffee maker but it doesn't work properly and burns your coffee so you may want to bring your own.

We had a great stay! You can sit on the covered porch and have a wonderful view of the lake. The sunsets were breathtaking! Beds were very comfortable and living room made for a nice gathering place. Thank you for your hospitality!

The house was spotless and very well appointed with everything you need for cooking. We did find the lake front yard much smaller than it appeared in the photos but still enjoyable. While we did enjoy being in the water, the small and somewhat cockeyed dock didn’t have any sort of ladder to enter the water. Additionally, that part of the lake requires water shoes and there was a fair amount of vegetation. All in all a really nice and peaceful visit.

Perfect location with breathtaking sunsets. The house was larger than expected and was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back. My son enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught enough fish to keep him off of electronics for hours.

The Sunset Bay home was very nice. My husband and I came to Cayuga Lake to do some wine tasting. The weekend was very nice. The Sunsets on the Lake were awesome. Sunday night the fireworks on the other side of the lake topped off the weekend. We look forward to returning in the future.
