December 1 - March 31 the Maximum Occupancy is 12 People With 6 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms and NO third floor availability. The third floor loft sleeping and 5th bathroom is only available April 1 - November 30.

Come enjoy lakeside living at its finest at the outstanding Aurora Escape! Located on the east side of Cayuga Lake in beautiful downtown Aurora, this 6 bedroom and a loft, 5 bath estate will exceed your expectations.  

Located in between the spectacular Aurora Inn and equally special E. B. Morgan House, Aurora Escape offers the perfect location for enjoying all that Aurora has to offer, with fine dining and other assorted eating and shopping establishments all within walking distance.

The spacious interior floor plan is designed with both comfort and luxury in mind. Wall to wall original wood flooring on the first floor reflects the property's historical quality and value, while the majority of the second floor has been recently renovated to today's highest standards (renovation in 2015). 

Upon entering through the back door of the property you will find a cozy library with flat screen HD television and over size leather chairs.  Take a break from the sun reading one of the many books, while sipping a glass of your favorite Finger Lakes wine.  Beyond the library you’ll find a formal dining area. This room provides ample space for entertaining dinner guests, or playing games.

In the kitchen, the beautiful white cabinetry is stocked with everything the chef in your group will need in order to feel like they’re surrounded by all of the comforts and conveniences of being at home.  

Just off the kitchen is located the first-floor bath.  Across the hallway from the bath, you will find a bedroom with a queen bed and closet and a few short stairs up to a second private bedroom with full-size bed.

Passing again through the kitchen and down a hallway you’ll enter a spacious living area, offering guests the comfort of a sofa and armchairs, flat-screen HDTV, and beautiful decorative fireplace. Off the living room is the master bedroom with 4 post, a king-size bed, and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower unit.  Completing the main level is a drawing room with tall windows and beautiful paintings, complete with a full size antique pool table. Upstairs, you’ll be pleased to find two additional full size kitchens, both newly remodeled in 2015 and complete with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. In addition, there are three private bedrooms with queen beds on this floor, all of which were renovated in 2015. Completing this level are two full bathrooms. One of the bathrooms boasts a full remodel in 2015 and offers a heated floor and beautiful tile work, as you'll see from the pictures.

Hidden behind a closed door on the second floor, you will find a beautiful wood staircase leading to a 3rd-floor bedroom loft area with 4 full size beds, a kitchenette, and a full bath. This level offers exquisite knotty pine walls and ceiling and is the perfect escape.
Outside, walk past the garage to the lakefront where a permanent dock is available. Sit in Adirondack chairs to enjoy the sunset or enjoy sunbathing on the dock.  Aurora is pleasingly located at the widest point of any of the finger lakes, with the west side of the lake nearly 3.5 miles away across Cayuga Lake's beautiful blue waters.

When not on the lake enjoying the sun, venture out and experience the area by enjoying the Cayuga Wine Trail, Ithaca, NY, and Cornell University to the south, the Mackenzie Childs Store, Wells College, local State Parks, and area restaurants.  Or, treat yourself to a day at the spa and visit The Spa at the Inns of Aurora. The Aurora Escape is the perfect vacation home that you'll want to return to again and again!

Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting.  The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time.  This includes both day and overnight guests.

We were very happy with Aurora Escape. We had two multi generational families stay for Labor Day weekend - the ability for the kids and grandparents to walk around town, to the market, and the farmers market was fantastic.     Pros:  Location (on lake and in town)  Access to three kayaks and three SUPs   Pool table  Art / decor of the house  Space to accommodate 11+ people     Cons:  Three kitchens (didn’t bother us)  Two BRs (downstairs and loft) feel like an annex   Lake access is quasi-public  The house is in the midst of the Inns of Aurora    Overall, we loved our trip. The pros far outweighed the cons. If we come back to the east side of Cayuga, we’d stay here again.

Enjoyed a week with family
The property was very nice with a large dock and spacious yard to play. The gentle slope to the lake was not a steep walk. Aurora is a small quiet village and the sidewalks were nice to walk children. There was no air conditioner in the primary first floor bedroom, or none in one of the second floor bedrooms but the other rooms did have them. FLLP was very responsive when we had an issue and needed help. Though there was a dock we could not keep our rented pontoon boat there as planned because of the windy weather that week. Being on the eastern shore of the lake had prevailing winds blowing against dock and we had to rent a slip for the boat in a marina.

All being said, we loved the property and were blown away by so many aspects of the home. We were just surprised at the lack of fine quality in the kitchen based on everything else.

Aurora Escape is truly a magical location. Soft beds, clean linens, with the perfect location to everything Aurora and the area have to offer. Can't wait to get back here next summer!
