This beautiful lake home on the west side of Cayuga Lake is the perfect spot for your long-deserved vacation!

Walk across the level yard and up the sidewalk to the semi-private, latticed back porch. Access is made easy with the flat walks and wide doorway. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the amenities you will need - gas stove/oven unit, a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and lots of counter space to prepare a gourmet meal or simple vacation dinners.

The living room/dining room is open and bright due to the eastern wall of windows. To enhance your evenings, a propane two-sided fireplace w/remote control on/off switch sits cozily between the living room and game room. Plenty of seating is available to watch your favorite movie or sporting event.

Want to play cards or board games? A table is in the game room for your convenience. Prefer to dine outside? The deck overlooking the lake is just a few short steps away with a propane grill and lots of patio furniture for an enjoyable meal. A library is off the kitchen where you can escape for some quiet time to yourself. A futon and large sofa is there for your convenience to stretch out and read one of the books in the well-stocked library. The Wi-Fi internet port is located in the library.

half-bath and laundry room is to the left of the kitchen. Off the dining room is the first floor Master Bedroom with King-size bed and ensuite bathroom with private walk-in shower and plenty of closet space. Sliding glass doors give you access from your bedroom onto the front deck.

Upstairs is another Master Bedroom with King-size bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower unit. There is a desk for the "working" vacationer and internet service. Walk out the sliding glass doors on to your own private balcony. Bedroom 3 has a Queen-size bed and has a large picture window that overlooks the lake and lots of closet space. Bedroom 4 has a set of Twin-size beds with a small dresser unit and lots of closet space. A full bathroom with a separate tub/shower unit completes the second floor.

Entrance to the outside dog kennel is through the laundry room. Two large dog crates and dog dishes are stored in the laundry room for your use when the dog(s) are inside. A scoop and garbage can are provided for yard cleaning.

Bring your croquet or badminton games and watch the children and dog(s) play in the large level yard as you enjoy your morning coffee from the deck. A fire pit on the beachfront is available for your evening campfires and s'mores. Make sure you bring your own lawn chairs to sit around the fire!

Want to venture out and experience the area? Enjoy the Cayuga Wine Trail, the nearby Geneva Outlet Mall, local State Parks and area restaurants. Captain's Hideaway is the perfect vacation home that you'll want to return to again and again!

Wonderful location on beautiful Cayuga lake!

This was even better the second time we rented! We loved sitting on the back porch in the morning watching the birds on the lake (including an eagle and swans). Comfy rooms and ample space, the dogs really appreciate the fenced in yard as well as the beach front and heated outdoor hose. We hope to continue to make this a yearly stop!!

Would highly recommend this house!!

The best house layout for (3) families total of 10. Open Floor Plan with lots of windows was awesome, the (2) futons in the library provided extra room for more sleeping arrangements, dining table fit all 10 of us, pantry and closet in kitchen was very helpful for 3 families to store food and stuff. Loved sitting by the double fireplace watching the sunrise and winding down at night. We stayed over Thanksgiving week and was able to make a full dinner in the well provided kitchen just like home, (there is a Keurig and stand up mixer, great dishes, utensils in the cabinets). The fenced dog run was awesome just open the door from the mudroom (great) and out they went, no stress! To cold outside to enjoy the yard, deck and dock, but that's a summer vacation. Had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Thank you owner!!

Location for this rental is outstanding. From the time you walk in, the first thing you see is Cayuga Lake right in front of you. The first floor from the kitchen to the enclosed front deck is open and airy with the breezes coming through the screened doors. Two master suites (1 on the first floor) is rarely available in a rental unit. We loved the fact we could fix meals in the well equipped kitchen & ate out dinners many nights on the huge front deck. All in all a great vacation for everyone.

We loved the Captains Hideaway. The view of the lake from the back from the back deck and also by looking out from inside was amazing. This is a large property and easily accommodated our 10 family members. It is a great property if you have a dog. You can put your pet on the deck and shut both gates so they can't get off while easily watching them from inside through the glass windows. We also brought our kayaks and kayaked a few properties over to a really cool creek that went through a tunnel under the road. My niece caught fish everyday off the dock. You do have to drive a little bit to get to stores so bring what you need. The whole area is beautiful and the lawn guy said we had the best view on lake Cayuga. I believe him!

Beautiful place with ample space. The pictures do not lie. It was extremely comfortable with many appreciated convenience. TVs with cable/spectrum in both master bedrooms as well as blue-ray players . The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots, and pans. The oven took a little getting used to, but that is more of me not being familiar with its make/model. The grill was wonderful and easily accessible. The fenced-in area attached to the garage spanning from the front to side to the back porch gave the pups a good way to access a small yard while enjoying the outdoors or observing their humans (indoor or outdoor). There were a larger number of Canada Goose than expected but they did not pose a big problem (maybe making the grass near the beachside a little dirty), but the beach was amazing with a gradual slope into the deeper water. We will definitely be looking to stay here in years to come!

Captain’s Hideaway is a beautiful recently remodeled home. The big open spaces on the first floor, with the rooms flowing into each other, create a comfortable situation. It’s location on Cayuga Lake, and the easy access to the lake, including the beautiful dock, make this a great place for a family to enjoy themselves.

Just stayed in Captains Hideaway-and loved it! This is a breathtaking property on the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the house is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. For small children and dogs- you will love the huge fenced deck and enclosed side yard off the laundry room. The furnishings inside and out were quite comfortable- even the beds were great- leaving my picky grown children nothing to complain about. The appliances were great- just wish there was a second fridge somewhere for additional beverage storage. We fished off the dock and caught many small fish. The house is within 20 minutes of major shopping and restaurants. If you are seeking a large top notch getaway rental on Cayuga Lake you probably won't find better. I would rent this house again- so many positives!!!!

Overall the home we rented was very nice. The kitchen was very well stocked and the furnishings very comfortable. There was plenty of room for our guests to spread out when they wanted privacy but also there was plenty of room for us all to be together. I loved the large selection of books and puzzles that were available to use. Initially I was not at all happy about having to change homes due to a maintenance issue at the first home, but the rental we switched to turned out to be perfect for our needs. We will definitely consider renting this home again and would recommend Finger Lakes Premier Properties to our friends.
