Relaxing vacation
We had a lovely stay at Lucky Stone Cottage. The property was exactly as presented. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the lake late in the day- it was so peaceful!

We loved being in Sheldrake. Having grown up there, it was nice to be “home”.

Graduation weekend with family
Terrific getaway for our family of 7. Understated but lovely. Plenty of room. Beautiful location but hard to find in the dark. Only 30 minutes from Cornell. Great value.

The Place We Needed
A great respite for a family trip to memorialize a loved one. The house had plenty of space for everyone to sit and share stories. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The setting was gorgeous and we took many pictures down by the lake

Great place to spend the week!
This is a lovely, clean and tidy home right across the small street from Cayuga Lake. It has a new coat of paint outside, so it looks much better than the picture. There were 4 adults and a child and we had plenty of room to spread out. There are actually TWO dining rooms and living rooms! My adult children and my grandson walked across the street, and used the shed provided there to store their fishing gear, and spend quite a few happy hours fishing, There was lots of room to store the food we brought, and plenty of pots and pans for cooking it! I would definitely go back again!

Cayuga Lake
The home was is a nice location. Bedrooms were spacious. Plenty of seating for all. Nice view of the lake. The pull out sofa was not comfortable. The kitchen was pretty well stocked.

This was a great rental! The views of the lake were fantastic. We spent equal time adventuring out of the house and relaxing... the living area was comfortable for card games, cooking, and movies and the bedrooms were great for much-needed sleep! The front patio was also a wonderful place to relax, read, and take in views of the lake. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed some time on the water too. Overall it was a wonderful time!! |

Fall 2021 Birthday Trip
The cottage is much bigger inside than it appears. Plenty of room for our group of 7. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked all our meals there. The beds were comfortable, keeping in mind that the sleeper sofa is just a sleeper sofa. The place was clean and safe and had a beautiful view of the lake.
Thank you very much for taking the time to rate your experience at our rental. Please come and stay with us again soon!

Quality Affordable Cayuga Lake Vacation
It’s our fifth time staying at this cottage ~ very roomy ~ love the beach front and front screened in porch! It was a great getaway during this pandemic as social distancing outside is so easy! Plan to visit again next year if we can!

The location of this property was perfect! We enjoyed local attractions such as hiking, water falls, and wineries. Then were able to walk across the road and enjoy beautiful Cayuga Lake! We will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage with all the amenities for cooking your own meals. Quiet, comfortable and very clean. Exterior needs some work and garbage cans should be provided to keep animals from getting to it. The fishing could have been better but that is my issue not yours. The boat launches were excellent with adequate parking for cars with trailers and they were close by to the cottage. All in all a GREAT GAME 7 DAYS SPENT ON LAKE CAYUGA.
By Graziano,
I have stayed at Luckystone Cottage maybe 5 or 6 times. It is a wonderful cottage much more roomy than it appears at first sight. The rooms are always clean and the kitchen is well equipped. I especially like the privacy afforded by the location of the cottage and the amount of property surrounding it. The lake front area is private and wonderful, although with the owner away for a while, it does need some weeds pulled and bushes trimmed. I kayaked every morning, swam and snorkeled off the dock and cooked over a campfire (I hiked every day at the numerous State Parks in the area). There is an excellent Pub close by, a convenience store too and an excellent vineyard a short walk or kayak ride up the road/lake. Not to mention all the wonders of the Finger Lakes region surrounding the cottage. I believe that this stretch of County Road 153 is the best road on Cayuga Lake.
By Peter from Princeton NJ,
I love Lucky Stone Cottage. This was my third visit (first under your management). As in past visits, I had a great time this year (kayaking, swimming, enjoying a fire, hiking, walking to a great Pub/restaurant for lunch or dinner and just hanging around and relaxing). I am returning the end of August and beginning of September for 2 more weeks. I thought the main areas were very clean (kitchen, living rooms, bedroom). I was happy that my Amazon TV box worked with the WiFi. I thought the improvements that were made this year were great (new grill, new floors in the bathrooms and kitchens). I noticed the water tasted much better than last year, so something must have been done there. I love the lakefront area and spent a lot of time kayaking, swimming and just sitting and reading in the evening. Surprisingly, to me at least, I actually liked the electronic door lock. I did miss the sign-in book.
