Situated at the end of a private lane on stunning Honeoye Lake, you’ll find “Sunset Chalet”. A beautiful lakefront chalet style home with cathedral ceilings and a wall of glass windows for viewing one of the Finger Lakes most picturesque lakes.

From the time you enter the front door, the lake view surrounds you. From the kitchen, dining room and living room the view of the lake is breathtaking. Enjoy your morning coffee from the beautiful deck overlooking a manicured lawn and gradually sloping natural lakefront. The sunsets from this home are amazing!

You’ll find all the amenities of a modern chalet home equipped with a full kitchen, gas stove and in wall oven. Plenty of dining space with a large farmhouse table with seating for 10.

This open concept living area provides plenty of space for the entire family to watch TV, play board games or simply gaze out the large windows at the lake. The kids can enjoy a game of ping pong in the lower level while the adults enjoy the serenity of the lakefront. This home is the perfect spot for a family vacation, nestled at the end of a private drive, with a large back yard for yard games or playing hide and seek. You don't have to worry about cars driving by or the kids playing near a busy road! This location is truly a treasure.

The main level of the home features 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a full bath. While upstairs in the loft bedroom you will find a king bed and a full-size bed, also with a full bath. Enjoy spectacular views from the lower level bedroom complete with queen bed and full size bed with slider doors and beautiful view of the lake.

Outside is where you will spend most of your time. Enjoying roasted marshmallows around the wood fire pit while listening to the waves crash along the 60’ of beachfront. Approximately fourteen weed mats have been carefully installed to help you enjoy the amazing beach area and the 60’ seasonal dock will be enjoyed for sunbathing or fishing, or how about some fun in the kayak? The morning hours are so peaceful and the lake is like glass, the ideal time to take a ride in the kayak or canoe and catch the nearby herons and owls flying above.

A trip to Honeoye Lake isn’t just for summer. Bristol Mountain and Hunt Hollow are both very close by for skiing. The quaint town of Naples offers the Fall Grape festival or a round of golf at a nearby course and a water hike through Grimes Glen. With Canandaigua an easy 20-minute drive to the east, many area attractions are right at your fingertips!

Exactly what we were looking for!

We researched rental properties extensively for our family Christmas getaway. This is a special property and it really delivered the experience we hoped for! The chalet style lodge with high ceilings and big windows provided an amazing "vacation" feel. The water views are incredible as the home sits just steps to the water. From the time we arrived, we felt the peace and beauty of Honeoye Lake. The home has a ton of character (loft is so cool) and it was clean and well-appointed with everything we needed. The hosts were kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in our experience as renters. We highly recommend this lake front opportunity to others and we will definitely be back this summer!

Thanksgiving Fun at the Lake

The Sunset Chalet was perfectly suited for our large family! The lakefront views were amazing and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The home was very clean with nice decor. We enjoyed some great spots to eat and wineries in the local area. We will be back!

Relaxation & Fun on the Lake

We had a group of adults come out for the labor day weekend. We played lawn games, had fires, brought jet skis and there was plenty of space to do so. The dock was in great condition and made fun on the lake way easier and more enjoyable. The house was beautiful, well equipped kitchen, ample beds, and clean. Space was all well used, highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Chalet, which by the way, is the perfect name for this house. Each evening we enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the pristine lake. The sunsets could be observed from inside the house, through the huge 2-story windows, or from the comfy chairs on the deck, or from the edge of the dock with our feet dangling in the water. Our very favorite spot to view the sunset was from the Adirondack chairs while roasting marshmallows in the firepit embers. It is truly a magical place. Our whole family enjoyed discovering the lake with all the seafaring vessels—kayak, paddleboard, canoe, and rowboat (kayak was the favorite!). The house itself is beautiful with gorgeous wood architecture and huge windows—a true chalet style. Our family loved how well-furnished the house was with big leather couches and comfortable beds and a large enough dining table to seat the whole family with friends! We had one day of rain which we totally enjoyed—watching a movie on Netflix, assembling a jigsaw puzzle, playing ping pong, and baking cookies (the kitchen had everything we needed to bake and cook). We enjoyed searching for sweet gifts at the nearby little shops and antique markets. Mill Creek Café Ice Cream Shoppe is a must! We also picked up some corn and tomatoes from a local stand—so delicious! Our family had such a fantastic summer vacation, and we are hoping to return in the winter for a ski vacation.

Great extended stay!

We had a fantastic time staying at your beautiful home on Honeoye Lake. We stay at rental homes often and we felt that your home was invitingly warm and cozy from the moment we stepped through the door. All the beds were comfortable and we especially loved waking to the sun rising and shining on us from the loft bed. Hanging out in the living room was not only relaxing, the views were amazing. And it was a great setting to work remotely. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake and the dazzling sunsets each night. We look forward to staying once again at your lovely home next summer.
